Attractions Intern

The Attractions Intern is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of all the aspects of Guest Services and Attractions Operations department. This division features over 40 rides and attractions and is home to one of Missouri’s deepest caves. Below are a few job responsibilities and objectives:

  • Serve as an Attractions Host and PIC (Person in Charge) at Guest Services and Attractions operations
  • Participate in Leadership and Safety meetings
  • Learn about roles and responsibilities of leadership
  • Learn scheduling and time keeping procedures
  • Assist with written communication
  • Assist with Guest Services and Attractions Team projects including but not limited to surveys, appreciation events, team outings and company events
  • Ensures proper handling of customer credit card information in compliance with Property Procedures and Purchasing Card Industry (PCI) standards.
  • Complete a minimum of one project benefiting at least one Guest Services and Attractions area as determined by management

Food Intern

  • Learn the duties of Inventory Control
  • Understanding the importance of how Inventory Control and other back of the house areas play a role in our success
  • Ensures proper handling of customer credit card information in compliance with Property Procedures and Purchasing Card Industry (PCI) standards.
  • Complete one project in the Food division determined by management

Merchandise Intern

Merchandise Interns will have the opportunity to learn about the retail operations at Silver Dollar City. To be successful in this role, applicants must exhibit great attention to detail, leadership qualities and a willingness to learn. This experience will grow your skills in customer service, problem solving and communication. Below are a few job responsibilities and objectives:

  • Serve as 410 Merchandise divisional host
  • Assist with PIC and customer service issues that may arise
  • Gain understanding of inventory control
  • Understand how schedules work
  • Participate in team lead meetings
  • Assist with stocking merchandise stores
  • Maintain a professional image while providing excellent customer service to hosts and guests
  • Ensures proper handling of customer credit card information in compliance with Property Procedures and Purchasing Card Industry (PCI) standards.
  • Complete one project in the Merchandise division determined by management
