Cool Summer Fun at Silver Dollar City
Summer is all about fun in the sun, but it’s important to take time out to cool down, too. Luckily, Silver Dollar City offers the best of both worlds with tons of outdoor adventure and plenty of opportunities to chill out, too!
There's no better way to splash into cool summer fun than on NEW Mystic River Falls® – featuring the Tallest Drop In The Western Hemisphere! Each twist, turn and dip along this river expedition is another chance to get completely drenched and that’s before you even get to the 45-foot final splashdown!
Other water-soaked adventures for the whole family include American Plunge and Tom & Huck’s RiverBlast. Plus, your little ones will have just as much fun playing among the misters and bubblers at the Firehouse Splashyard as you will watching them.
Another great way to cool off is to explore the magnificent Marvel Cave, Missouri’s deepest cavern. This underground wonder is always a cool 60 to 65 degrees. Tours are included with your Silver Dollar City ticket or Season Pass and depart frequently throughout the day.
There are also indoor, climate-controlled attractions to enjoy including The Flooded Mine, Fire-In-The-Hole, the Firehouse Play Place and Grandfather’s Mansion.
Don't miss incredible family entertainment including the world-famous Harlem Globetrotters, back by popular demand, in Red Gold Heritage Hall! The basketball superstars premiere their All-New Harlem Globetrotters Skills Showcase June 12 - August 8 (Fri-Wed).
Plus, take a seat for even more entertainment in shady covered outdoor theaters featuring signature Silver Dollar City shows like the All-New Down By The Riverside in the Dockside Theater and Sagebrush Sadie’s Traveling Review in Boatworks Theater. For the younger members of your crew, step inside Riverfront Playhouse for continuous 30-minute screenings of the beloved children’s series Chuggington throughout the day.
Deliciously cool and frosty treats are plentiful at concessions and eateries throughout Silver Dollar City. Hannah’s Ice Cream Parlor on the Square features hand-dipped ice cream treats. Creamy soft-serve is available at Cokes & Floats in Rivertown as well as Cakes & Cones near the entrance of the Grand Exposition. Dippin’ Dots, Soft Frozen Lemonade and ICEE® carts are located in most areas of the park, too.
If you’re looking for the best way to enjoy your favorite cool treats along with a variety of other select summer items, get the NEW Summer Tasting Passport! Choose 5 tasting-sized items from the summer menu which includes sundaes at Hannah’s, Dippin’ Dots, Minute Maid Whips and much more for just $30 plus tax. Learn more about the Tasting Passport here.
