For more than 100 years adventurers have hiked through the passageways of one of God’s greatest wonders, and over 60 years ago that same wonder put Silver Dollar City on the map. Even today, guests of all ages are encouraged to take the 60-minute walking tour of Marvel Cave where they’ll explore Missouri’s Deepest Cavern and hear colorful stories of the cave’s simple beginning to its present day status as Registered Natural Landmark. Regular cave tours are FREE and start at park opening, leaving frequently throughout the day. And, year round the cave is “naturally-climate controlled” at a comfortable 60 to 65 degrees!
For the more adventuresome, sign up for a Marvel Cave Lantern Light Tour—Silver Dollar City’s Deepest Darkest Secret. During this special 90-minute tour at the end of the day, the lights in the cave are turned off as brave cave explorers light their way with lantern in hand, just like the first pioneers did! Hear little known stories and get a Lantern Light Tour exclusive—a trek to the Mammoth Room (not available on regular cave tours). Lantern Tours have an up-charge and require reservations made at the Cave Desk inside the park (kids must be at least 8 years of age).
