Kay Cherry, Associate Craftsman

Before she ever tried her hand at making candles, Kay Cherry was crafting memories for families as a host at Carrie’s Candles. When the shop found itself in need of a demonstrating craftsman, the Nebraska native took her previous experience in the shop and her time assisting with candle production and stepped into the role herself. Kay says that her favorite part of her craft is helping kids of all ages dip their own candles. “We have so many people return time and time again to dip candles,” says Kay. She even recalls recently helping four generations of the same family dip candles together. She adds, “My passion is being part of the Silver Dollar City family and interacting with our guests.”
