Blacksmith Kelly Tiede poses for a photo at Silver Dollar City

Master Craftsman Kelly Tiede

A self-proclaimed “ol’ plowboy” from Great Bend, Kansas, Kelly Tiede traded fields of wheat for irons in the fire when he became a blacksmith. Having a background in mechanics and welding, Kelly came to Silver Dollar City to work in the foundry and began learning the craft of blacksmithing. Adamant that he wouldn’t be the Master Craftsman he is without the help of his tools, Kelly’s favorite things to make are leaves – his signature mark on anything he creates.
